The Marching Warriors

The Marching Warriors is the largest spirit group at St. Charles West High School.  Marching band is the first unit of the band school year, preparing a field show for half-time performance at home football games and competitions at local and regional events on Saturdays in the months of September and October.  The band also performs spirited pep songs to fire up the crowds during the football games and at school assemblies.  Members of the Marching Warriors begin rehearsals in the summer and continue marching through the month of October.  Rehearsals are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as the band class during the school day.

Concert Band

The Concert Band is the second unit of the band school year that begins after Marching Band season ends in late October.  Members of the concert band rehearse in band class during the school day and prepare for performances in seasonal concerts and the Missouri State Large Ensemble Festival.

Jazz Ensemble

The Jazz Ensemble is a traditional big band that provides an enriched instrumental music education beyond the standard concert band setup.  Genres studied in this band include Swing, Latin, Funk, Rock and Pop.  The Jazz Ensemble rehearses during the school day preparing for numerous performances throughout the year including concerts, festivals, school assemblies and events, and special events in the community.

Basketball Band

You won't find a more fun and exciting high school basketball atmosphere than the experience of a home game at St. Charles West.  The band provides a spirtited and exciting atmosphere for players and fans at every home varsity boys and girls game.  Featuring popular music spanning many decades, you're sure to get caught up in the atmosphere of the game as the band brings you to your feet with every point scored.  The St. Charles West Basketball Band is the 6th man for the team.
